   CCTV text overlay insertion

A Texgen - CCTV text inserter Interface allows characters to be inserted into any video source via an RS-232 link. This allows computers, cash registers, ATMs and any RS-232 communicating device to display alphanumerics in the video picture of a CCTV system. and gray scale of the inserted text as well as RS-232 commands. An internal dipswitch allow the user to select position of text. The Texgen Text Inserters are offered in a variety of configurations. With the appropriate software, a TexGen can directly connect to registers and POS systems with RS-232 ports.

Some cash registers utilize an RS-232 printer or Display unit which can be tapped to supply the TexGen with the data. Registers that have no RS-232 ability must be fitted with an additional interface module that converts printer data to the RS-232 format required by the TexGen.
Other areas of application include: magnetic card readers, tiame keeper registers, access control, security screening.

Developer's version of TexGen can be fitted with software emulating ANSI protocol terminal.
